hi
i decided to try the 2.4 kernel since it provides some stuff i need and conveniently includes the
mol patches.
startmol has a logic error: it tries to load the module even though it finds that the kernel is
patched to support mol.
but even after fixing that, the startup bails out when it finds that the kernel patch is the wrong
version. i didn't try to fake that yet or hunt it down.
