I'll be willing to bet that during startup, the kernel tells you that
it can't find /sbin/hdclock (I have the same problem, and I have to
set the clock with linuxconf every time). Find a way to get hdclock,
and you'll be doing us both a favor. hdclock is the thing that
queries the hardware to find out what time it is. Without it, it
guesses (poorly). So, the time is stored quite correctly in the Mac's
cmos - Linux just can't find it.
