Sorry, Mike was correct in his statement. That may not have been the
problem, BUT the MacOS ROM on the 8.6 CD does cause some problems. I had
this problem when the latest LinuxPPC released. The fix was to grab a newer
RPM of MOL and doing an upgrade. (or in my case I uninstalled then
installed the newest RPM)
