Any ideas from the People here how to speed up MOL?

I have it running on a G3 All-In-One with 64MB RAM in read only
mode ( I just don't wanna screw up my Mac Partition... or take a
chance at it.... yet...

It currently runs at about 50-70% of normal speed.

I try playing Wolfenstein 3d, (an old game) and i get the "slow
video" message in the MOL window title bar.
