Subject: Logitech Wheel Mouse Freezes

I've been using MOL 0.92-3 with no problems for months. I recently moved
the computer to a new location and upon setting it up the mouse in MOL had
stopped working. The keyboard works fine. I read in the archives that
this problem has come up for others in the past (with Logitech wheel mice)
but the solutions have been to upgrade to (previous) versions. Any word
would help.

Logitech wheel mouse for Mac (the hockey puck works no better)
the mouse works fine under Linux
config file----
/etc/molrc was set up with
mouse_device: /dev/usbmouse
mouse_dpi: 100
use_x_cursor: no (also tried "yes" with no effect)
the mouse works neither in the window nor in the full-screen mode
Switching the plug into different USB ports makes no difference
It does work when I boot into Mac OS
I'm using the latest version of the logitech driver (mw_m351a_e)
and re-installed the latest [public] version of MOL, 0.9.53-2
The mouse freezes right at the bootup, long before any extensions are
loaded.
