2.2.(>=16) keyboard problems with mol-0.9.53 through mol-0.9.55

Hi All,

I had posted previously regarding keyboard problems with MOL - MOL crashes on me
after a few keystrokes - it even happens with mol-0.9.53 although takes a few
more keystrokes - i can trigger it by holding down a key and after about 10
keyboard repeats, MOL dies. If I just mouse around without using the keyboard,
MOL is happy.

I'm now sure its not the new input layer (as I have tested a kernel without it
enabled) but am wondering if its the open firmware version - the hardware is an
iMac DV400. Below is my mol startup log - in particular, the following line is
interesting:

**** of_call_method: cmd 'get-key-map' ih: 00000001 (2/2) Args:

The iMac has OpenFirmware 3.0f3. Does 'of_call_method' proxy the call through to
the real machines open firmware? Could it be a change in Apple's latest firmware
(the machine is only 3 weeks new)?

I have tried to start MOL in debug mode but Meta-G does not work on my keyboard
(Apple Pro keyboard). I have also tried with and without loading a default
keymap after boot.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
~mc
