Hi All
I just tried upgrading my mol version from 0.9.47 to 0.9.58 with the
following results.
[root@mactim root]# startmol /boot/vmlinux
=================================================================
Mac-on-Linux 0.9.58 <www.maconlinux.org>
(C) 1997-2001 Samuel Rydh <samuel@ibrium.se>
=================================================================
Certain kernel symbols are missing. Trying to find a valid System.map file
Examining '/boot/vmlinux'
**** Symbol file matches ****
Caching kernel symbol file as /var/tmp/System.map-2.2.16
/usr/bin/startmol: insmod: command not found
=========================================================================
Unable to find the kernel symbol file. Start MOL by giving the
command:
startmol vmlinux
where vmlinux is the image of the kernel CURRENTLY running.
It is also possible to start MOL through the command
startmol System.map
where System.map is the symbol file of the running kernel.
For more information, please visit <http://www.maconlinux.org>

then startmol terminates. Reading the list arch's and
http://www.maconlinux.org/userguide.html
suggests that the System.map doesn't match the kernel I'm running, but
it does. Same System.map worked fine with mol-0.9.47. My stripped
NWrom is still in /usr/lib/mol/rom/
running Linuxppc2000 2.2.16 kernel on a beige G3
mac partition:/dev/hda6 with blkdev: /dev/hda6 -rw in
/etc/molrc.
Any ideas?
thanks
Tim
