apt tells me i have the most current binutils for
potato. i tried apt-getting binutils-dev, got the
same error. I have the most current flex and bison.
I apt got my kernel headers and made the appropriate
links. I err'd before and told you my kernel wrong
tho; it's actually a 2.2.18pre21...

Any other ideas?

if it's a more current binutils that i need, can i apt
get a single package from woody, and if so, how do i
do that? and will that fudge up my system?

Thanks Sam for the tip!

Sean
