indeed, that would appear to be the case, perhaps also an old binutils-dev
i'd also suggest upgrading to a 2.4.x kernel (I run 2.4.9 in a Debian
Potato+testing system), as MOL integrates nicely with 2.4.x (compared
to 2.2.x from what I've seen)
