Virtual Memory Settings in Mac OS

	I'm sorry of being a little computer illiterate, but does this mean 
that using linux swap file offers better performance than Mac OS virtual 
memory? And an other question: can turning virtual memory on in Mac OS 
affect the performance of my linux applications when MOL is running?
