latest mandrake is optimized for G3G4.
in my opinion/experience too buggy for oldword (ppc 604e)

ydl 2.3 works well on both old-new world a lot of updates to do : have a =
look=20
at yellowdog ftp site under the directory "updates/yelowwdog2.3"... kde 3=
 is=20
too slow after fisrt install (that's to say without Qt updates...)

you may also consider (afterwards) gentoo ppc the 1.4 will be released in=
 a=20
couple of weeks... but needs a fast internet connection... command-line=20
installer... someone advises me installing gentoo from ydl 2.3...

openBSD is also working on newworld mac may be a good competitor over mac=
OS X=20
if your emac is a G3 one, otherwise, if G4, why not macOS X ? with=20
WFreeDarwin and fink ?
