Thanks for the pointer.  I will try some further tweaking.
I saw the same screen shot, so I assumed that it has
already been done before.

I have already tried win98 - and had similiar results.  I might
try win2k in low-res VGA mode.

Windows on virtual PC under mac OS X does work- but I
really like the native PPC Mandrake distro.
The PPC version is eeriely similar to the i86- even
down to platform independent (noarch) rpms,
I can reuse all of my custom scripts- but
I  still need to run a single legacy windows based
development app in the enviroment.

In worst case- the fall back plan is to use Mac OSX as
the main OS and then emulate a x86 linux distro
and windows under seperate installs.

It would be nice to have a decent native
windows emulator on PPC linux that had similiar
levels of performance to MOL.
