0.9.63 segmentation fault

i just compiled kernel 2.4.18 and mol 0.9.63 for my g3 running debian. 
i'm attempting to boot 9.2.2 with the rom image from the 9.2.2 
installer.  after running molvconfig and customizing /etc/molrc, 
startmol gives me the output below.  where should i start looking to 
solve the problem?
