MOL on Powerbook G3's

Hi,

I have tried upgrading to MOL 0.9.65 and running it, but this version
lacks
kernel support for my machine (even when installing the associated kmods
rpm as well). 0.9.65 has support for kernel 2.4.18, but I have kernel
2.4.18-0.8a.... which, despite the short suffix, makes MOL spit out a few
lines which say that there was an error with the kernel. (Here, I'm using
the -a option for startmol to allow a kernel mismatch.) When I try to
take
the kernel modules from MOL 0.9.60 and put them in the 0.9.65 folder, MOL
realizes that I'm trying to do something tricky, and thusly scolds me.

As for the lists, from what I've seen via searches, the only messages
which
were relevant to my problem were either for a slightly different system
setup (i.e. a different laptop, Mac OS, or something else), or were
threads
which abruptly stopped just before they might answer my question. So, no
luck on that front either.

So.. I'm still confused about how to make this work. The setup
instructions
in the YDL install book made it sound very easy, but for some reason it
just won't go.
