time difference

Hi,

There is a 4-5 hours time difference between Linux and Mac OS X via mol.
I played with the hwclock settings, tried to change to UTC / localtime
without success.

Could someone provide instructions on how to set the time in Debian
GNU/Linux and Mac OS X such that this does not occur.
