Save/restore & COW

I'd really like to have Save/Restore working with recent MOLs. Also, the 
copy-on-write disk support (http://oss.metaparadigm.com/patches/) would be 
great. But: The COW sources are based on 0.9.53, which is a bit old. This 
version does not compile on my Mandrake 9.1 PPC system, due to the 
MUNGE_CONTEXT problem. It seems quite hard to apply the COW patches to 
0.9.68 - lots of file names has changed names, for example. Also, I guess 
the COW is of no use if save/restore isn't working. 

So, any changes save/restore can be brought back to life soon? When did 
this function stop working? Who should I send pizza and beer to? :-)
