Hi all..

I have a few questions about sound.. See I want this Platinum sounds =
thingy to work FAST on os 9.2 :D. no, but seriously. Simple ALSA makes =
MOL slooow down, and falter when playing sounds, or anything under os 9. =
(It's lightning fast when i'm not playing anything, but a little wave =
file makes it falter). So I tought why not try esound? I compiled it, =
and the daemon starts well..=20
I set sound_driver:esd and sound_device:/dev/dsp (somehow obsolete with =
esound(?)).. but no sound.. I've tried promiscuous mode / public mode / =
tcp mode / unix domain socket mode, with esd but no sound from mol, and =
I get these from the mol console screen:
+ Warning bad sound fragment size 0
And I think that the daemon logs connections too, or at least I should =
see something with esdcat, or esdmon, but nothing from there.

I'm having a feeling that MOL doesn't even try to connect to the esound =
daemon.. Or it tries but fails to do so.

SO

What am I doing wrong? Any solution?
Is MOL somehow faster with esound? Is it worth using esound instead of =
simple alsa dsp?
Does esound stop the faltering when playing sounds under MOL? Or should =
I forget esound because it's worse than simple dsp?=20

That's all.. thanks, am looking forward for any anwsers :)
