Can't install MacOS 9

I've just compiled up the latest MOL 0.9.68 on a YDL 2.3 setup and
everything works so far as I can boot MacOS 9.1 and 9.2.1 from CD.

MOL mounts the real hard drive too which is /dev/hde9 and I can
drag and drop files to this volume.

But when I start the 'Install MacOS' to put 9.1 (or 9.2.1) onto
this volume for MOL's own purposes the installer comes up with
'A valid destination volume can't be found' and the installer won't
let me select the 'Destination Disk' at all.

Any ideas ?

Alan.
