A few MOL questions

Well, this is something that didn't make to much sense to me. Even though I 
unchecked the proxy settings in the Internet control panel, the check mark 
under IE's preference remains set and I can't change it. All in all, the 
proxy settings under Mac OS seems to behave very strangely.

I'm assuming I don't need a proxy to be able to access the web via MOL. Is 
this correct?
