Hello,

You were indeed correct. I failed to define the
session I was starting.

BTW, I discovered that MacOS 7.6 and 8.0 both fail to
boot. They hit an infinite loop during the first
startup screen (before the extensions):

0003b378 lwz r0,12(r31)
0003b37c cmpwi r0,0
0003b380 bne 0x3b378

MSR: 0000d072
PC: 0003b380

SRR0: 0003b37c HID0: 8000cc84
SRR1: 0000d072

I can skip an instruction here, but it doesn't seem to
do any good...

Using 8.1 works better. I succeed in booting all the
way. MacOS Setup Assistant hangs trying to "find
network devices" but oh well... Other network
operations seem to similarly hang. Aside from network
and sound though, everything is working well. Great
job!

Dara

P.S. MacOS 8.1 boots in about 30 seconds. I remember 2
minutes+ on my old 8500. Not bad...
