Error message FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF

Hey all,

I'm receiving this error message after installing Jaguar onto a G4 Powerbook.

It installed fine -- it occurs during boot. I can still run the install cd 
fine, and I can also run and install system 9 (which I did onto another 
partition). It still boots w/ that weird error message, including all the 
weird foreign languages.

Booting safe mode does nothing.

I noticed a thread about a month ago on this -- any resolution?
