Netscape 7.02 hangs mol

Running YDL 3.0 uptodate - mol 0.9.68-1b - Netscape 7.02 creates network 
packet droped errors in mol (reported to console)
This is on a G3 Blue & White - think it has an integrated nic - dunno 
what controller chip it uses
I've stopped iptables thinking it was some rule blocking the 
connections.... no dice - of course I'm not geek enough to understand 
whats goin on in that debug interface... so that was effectively useless 
- (guess my learning curve got truncated)

any clues will help
