Running MOL on OS X...

i am a newbie to mol,
i just wanted to know if it is a 100% emulation on direct hardware,
i wanted to know if i can use all the features of mac os x if i run a 
normal mac, bought at apple directly with it.

can i run fullscreen open gl applications? can i use external hardware 
like digital cameras, usb sticks, gamepads, mice and all that things if 
those work with os x itself perfectly?

how much performance decrease will there be?
