Impossible to restart mol after a crash?

Regarding my earlier post, I eventually did get OS X started, but now 
mol crashed when accessing the CD-ROM.

However, what I did find is that I need to do a complete computer reboot 
in order to run mol again, otherwise I get a

Unimplemented store instruction 7C000FEC

repeatedly. Is this normal?
