I have Gentoo with 2.4.24 Kernel and OS-X 10.3 installed
i have a standard USB 2.0 Card  for 17 Euro first it was because
i was searching a way to get a USB Keyboard working in Morph...
but to my surprise i switched to OSX and yes my scanner Epson 1670 was
recognized and also the USB card in the System Info from OS_X
so i decide to get all USB Support off in my kernel only
Ohci and Ehci is build in and also standard usb Support but no
scanner and no printer support into kernel.
Also i have no Gimp Print and no Cups installed ....and
Yeah i could see my Epson Printer and my Scanner in OS-X
so i have installed the Drivers and i can scan and print perfectly..

Only Problem i have is that i have to switch the USB cable in and out after
every scan on my Epson scanner maybe a Epson Problem maybe the wrong
USB card, a friend told me to use a card from an Apple store...i will try
this
next days but hey :)))))

I can Print :) ans Scan in MOL so now this is a real Mac for me ......
