OS X 10.2 Server - Headless problem?

Running MOL on YDL 3.0.1 (Yellow Dog Linux) with an Apple Xserve (Dual 1Ghz model) I was able to
install OS X 10.2 Server onto the system from the CD. However, after I rebooted and tried to start
OS X 10.2 Server it says "Waiting for Headless Startup" at which point it drops me to a blue
background in which I can't do anything. Does anyone have any suggestions or pointers on how to
get this thing working? It's driving me crazy!
