 Near the bottom of this page
(http://www.bombich.com/mactips/image.html) is a reference on 
blessing. CarbonCopyCloner uses it to make dmg's that can be restored
to be bootable. The bless man page isn't TOO hairy as far as man pages
go. I've done it once or twice...but it's been a while. And you can
have multiple blessed directories, they just show up as different boot
options in the Controll panel.
