no, cannot call a skype user with it because skype use their own 
"closed" protocol, rather than the SIP 'standard'

but you can call anyone who uses the SIP-based systems free of charge - 
regardless of what provider they are using

I've managed to introduce it to most of my firneds - creating a nice 
little SIP circle, with free calls to each other at any time :)
they also have their own exuivalent of 'skype-out' with your own free 
phone number which some of the rates  are even cheaper than skype
