I found a file which could be the latest SLOF. It has right date "2009 0620 1813" and version "JX0107006" in the binary, so that I believe that this is the right file. http://lisas.de/~adrian/slof/JX-1.7.0-6-js2x.bin Adrian From benh at kernel.crashing.org Thu May 12 20:20:08 2011 From: benh at kernel.crashing.org (Benjamin Herrenschmidt) Date: Thu, 12 May 2011 21:20:08 +1000 Subject: [powerstation-owners] powerstation comp. list update In-Reply-To: References: <20110120132727.950b542a.acrux_it@libero.it> <20110406024235.6c7f8d7e.acrux_it@libero.it> <4DA7838F.9010804@mac.com> Message-ID: <1305199208.29820.105.camel@pasglop> On Thu, 2011-05-12 at 08:08 +0100, sama99suka ok wrote: > > 2011/4/15 Pat Wall > Hi Acrux > > > On 06/04/11 01:42, acrux wrote: > well, after long time I used again our Powerstation as > desktop with > linux-2.6.39-rc1. > I found some several issue using (the expensive) > Belkin F5U602ea and i > was obliged to remove it. > With FireGL V5600 i encuntered only a problem in 3d > with an error > like this: > IRQ's not enabled, falling back to busy waits: 2 0 > instead with the stock X1650 all is fine. > > Does somebody gained better experience with a > PCIE/USB2 ?? > Any model suggestion ? > > > I've had no problems with the Belkin F5U252 5 Port USB2.0 > card. The card was shipped by Fixstars with my PowerStation. Note that there are significant differences in HW between the slots on the powerstation. One slot (x16) is directly connected to the Apple/IBM CPC945 northbridge while others are behind Broadcom hypertransport<->PCIe bridges. My experience is that some work better than others for some kinds of card (no specific rule here, but worth trying moving cards around in case of problems). As for the FireGL V5600, what kind of card is this ? IE. What generation ? (what does lspci and what does the radeon driver says ?)
