hi all,

in order to update microcode (firmware) on scsi integrated controller of some power4 and power5 machines i found there are a lot of updates for:
PCI-X266 Planar 3Gb SAS Adapter (CCIN 2BE0, 572C, 57D0)
http://download.boulder.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/server/firmware/sissas_0420003a.html

Reading infos from 'iprconfig' i can see that on my Powerstation there is a 572C001SISIOA with 01200018 fw release.

Do you think is appropriate and safe try to update it?

Does the PowerStation firmware still detect the drives correctly?
