Thanks for the advice.. with two memory cards it works just fine. Also a UBS sound attachment works perfect. I should note however that the one recommended (Terratec Aureon Dual USB card/stick) seems to be available only in Europe. I am using a generic one which has no problems with sound output. However-should such UBS units also accept sound from a microphone through their microphone input. Mine does not work for some reason.<br>

The boot problem could be related to the firmware bug with additional<br>
PCI-Expess cards (Alignment Error) that was fixed in the experimental<br>
SLOF version. Serial console output should clarify that.<br>
<br>
For the sound card: I use a Terratec Aureon Dual USB card/stick, which<br>
works like a charm even with the USB 1.1 ports. Maybe that's an option<br>
if you don't need any fancy surround sound options etc.<br>
