DIGIUM PBX PHONE SYSTEM FOR YDL

San Francisco, California -- 13 August 2002 -- Digium, provider of Linux-based
Open Source PBX/IVR software/hardware and services, announces from LinuxWorld
availability of the WildCard series of interface cards for Terra Soft's
Yellow Dog Linux for PowerPC.

The WildCards are half-length PCI cards that fit into a desktop or rackmount
computer, providing a telephony interface to either analog or digital lines.
WildCards support industry standard telephony and data protocols, including
both RBS and Primary Rate ISDN (PRI) protocol families for voice and PPP,
Cisco HDLC, and Frame Relay data modes.

WildCards are fully supported by the Asterisk* Open Source PBX
(www.asterix.org) and can drive both line-side and trunk-side interfaces,
including call features. In addition to conventional telephony, Asterisk with
the Wildcard, provides VoIP and TDMoE (TDM over Ethernet) services for
greater efficiency and flexibility.

Asterisk, a full featured PBX/IVR platform, offers many of the legacy PBX
features users are familiar with on higher end systems such as, Three Way
Calling, Conferencing and Caller ID. In addition, the voice mail module
allows custom configurations for many voice response applications.

"We approached Terra Soft because they offer a unique, integrated solution on
an important platform. We see the future of our market as a combination of
standard consumer boxes with PCI cards and embedded appliances. The PowerPC
chip is designed for embedded systems and YDL offers seamless code migration
from desktop to set-top. It's a natural evolution," states Mark Spencer,
Digium President.

Digium demonstrated that a 400MHz G4 running YDL beat a 450MHz PIII in 6 out
of 9 processing and data handling tests, some 2-to-1. An older Apple
computer, YDL, and Digium's WildCard offer an inexpensive entry to a digital
phone system.

Kai Staats, Terra Soft CEO offers, "This is such a unique solution, simple and
elegant. We hope to see PowerPC, YDL, and the WildCard adopted as a standard
for what is really exciting --inexpensive, reliable, open-source phone
systems that do not require a service contract."

Digium's WildCard is available now from the Terra Soft online Store:

Visit with both sales persons and developers at Digium's Booth R17 at
LinuxWorld, August 13-15, in San Francisco, where an Apple G4 running YDL
will be on display.
