no color in terminal

I'm not sure (haven't messed w/ my Linux box in months - don't ask), but
isn't this a bash profile setting?

OK, so now my ignorance of Linux shows its ugly head or I would have tried
that earlier. ls --color does indeed return everything the way I would
expect it to. The fact that it's new users also means it can't be a simple
.tcshrc in the ~/ firectory, so where do I need to go to add this alias and
fix things?
