Still No sound :(

Hello,
I had the same problem a while ago, what worked for me was to go to the
xmms preferences (control p) disable the the cd audio player and make sur=
e
cd-read was enabled.
then form the play-list select add file (not directory) and add /dev/cdro=
m
it worked after that.  hope this helps
