Installing MacOS over YDL

I don't know for sure, but it sure sounds like you're stuck, John. Just like
you cannot install Win9.x on top of NT, you may not be able to install MacOS
on top of Linux. Btw, I don't recall your earlier posts as to why and how
only Linux was installed, or your Mac's hardware specs.

As for the firmware, almost every MacOS since 7.6 (I think) does a firmware
update *PRIOR* to the OS install. It depends on what firmware is installed.

I know you don't want to, but it would appear you need to turn the
Etch-A-Sketch upside down and start from scratch. That or add a hard drive
for MacOS.

Right. And there in lies the problem. MacOS 9.2.1 requires the firmware
updates BEFORE it can be installed. Is my only option to find and install
an older version of MacOS, install the firmware, then install the newer
version?
