detecting Modem in YDL 2.2

The original modem built into the 6500 is a geoport in the Comm Slot. 
There was never any support for this device going all the way back to 
when LinuxPPC was the lone distribution for PowerMacs, and there 
likely never will be. Search the linuxppc-user archives for 
[sometimes heated] discussion.
