YDL 2.2 fails on a blue/white mac

I just downloaded YDL 2.2 and was ready to try it on my G3.  YDL 2.1
installed with no problems on this machine.

YDL 2.2 comes up, I'm greeted with the boot prompt where I hit enter, then
I get a screen of
	"Welcome to Linux, kernel 2.4.18-0.9a
	...

	pmac_init():exit
	id mach(): done
	...
	setup_arch: enter
	setup_arch: bootmem
	arch: exit"

And then it just sits there.  Nothing happens beyond this point.  I also
tried booting into the text installer.  Still nothing.
