Airport on YDL 2.2

How do I set up Airport on YDL 2.2 with kernel 2.4x? I used the How to 
on the YDL website, and I also downloaded the Java GUI for it. Problem 
is? How do I use the Java program? In the Konsole i said:
java -jar AirportConfigurator.jar but then it said that it couldn't find 
Java. If it doesn't have Java, then how do I install it? I downloaded 
Swing from the link on the Airport Configurer's website, but it is a 
.jar. Also, YDL can't see my modem. I have a rev B Tibook with a CD/RW.
