swap space??

I'm running 1 GB of swap with my PowerBook with no problems, using YDL 2.=
3.

I don't see any reason why you can't allocate that amount of disk space a=
s=20
swap.

Well, not really. If you machine is constantly swapping, then this might =
be=20
true. But if you have one big job every now and then, which needs a littl=
e=20
more memory than the machine has, use swap space and don't worry about=20
things. I still like to allocate about twice the amount of physical RAM t=
o=20
swap space on every UNIX/Linux installation I do - sometimes, when we hav=
e=20
machines with 32 GB of RAM, it's kinda difficult, though, the primary dis=
k=20
drives are only 18 GB ;).
