YDL2.2 says "apt was not found"

Hi,

  I am trying to install YDL 2.2 from CD (I bought it when it was
fuji...). Unfortunately once it starts preparing to install packages I get
an error message:

Package apt was not found

Please correct this manually.

This is a fresh install, so I'm not what it means to correct it manually.
Any ideas?
