YDL-3.0 timeline?

3.0 I think is about, but I wouldn't expect it till after Christmas.  If 
you install 2.3 again, you can always apt-get an upgrade when 3.0 is 
stable which is pretty painless.

Or, in an ironic twist, you can use yum, the successor to YDL's yup, 
written by one of the Duke CS Sysadmins to do the upgrade :)
