YDL 2.3 Installation on iBook 600mhz

I just picked up an iBook:
600mhz
384mb RAM
30GB HD
AirPort Card
blah blah blah...

I have a purchased version of YDL 2.3 and the CD is good - I know this
because I have been using it successfully.

During the GUI or Text installation - at the Partioning section - it tells
me that no HardDrive is  found..

The drive is good, it takes partitions and installs with Mac OS9 and I had
OSX running on it.  Right now I completed wiped the drive with Disk
Utilities and left 3 open partitions for Boot, Swap, and Root.  Still the
installer does not see it.

Any thoughts on this?
