Just a quick followup.  I just did some tests on our XServe, and
verified that the front panel key position (locked versus unlocked)
has absolutely no effect on use of the mouse or keyboard.  The only
hickup I noticed was that with the special YDL 2.3 XServe ISO image
using the text-install-safe, the very first keyboard input appears
to be ignored but subsequent keyboard input works fine.
