YDL 2.3 install on a drive with 2.1

Yes, the 2.3 installer wants to make it's own partitions and filesystems
on those partitions at install time, it will crash if you try to reuse
partitions or filesystems.  This is mentioned in the manual in small
print, but I belive will be a note/alert/waring in the installer in the 
upcoming YDL-3.0 release.  

Note that wiping the linux partitions (inclusing the yaboot partition) is 
sifficent, but do be sure to write down what and where everything is 
mounted from your previous system before doing this is you want to make 
continiuity a important factor.
