I here that.

I went through the same process about 3 months ago, and it was a bear. 
Most of my problems were due to the fact that I don't have an officially 
supported card (Farallon SkyLine - which ended up working with the 
Orinoco Prism II drivers). Seriously, it was about 16 hours of tinkering 
to get it to work.
