I had a similar error because the cups libraries were not installed. I
think I caught the errors in .kderc-errors, .xsession-errors, or
command line startx. I'd guess there are a number of libraries that
might cause this problem. If it is a missing library problem, you
should try to looking at the error message to determine which one
might be missing for you.
