Yellowdog installer just blew away my disk...

Wow that's a good price!  I tried to recover the disk just by booting a 
Mac Installer CD and seeing if the damaged disk would mount.  All the 
disks mounted *except* my boot partition so I assumed that the partition 
is unrecoverable.  I reinitialized the disk with OS 8 and YellowDog 2.2 
from scratch and now I'm back up and running within a few hours.

But what happens when YDL 2.3 is released?  I shudder to think.
