My iBook has a DVD/CD-RW combo drive and it works fine with YDL 2.2. T 
eject the cdrom at the command line enter "eject /dev/hdb" to mount the 
disk you'll need to setup a directory somewhere like "mkdir /mnt/cdrom" 
then "mount /dev/hdb /mnt/cdrom" you might have to add the type with -t 
flag, read the mount man page for available types. I hope that helped.
I don't know if the external monitor works. I tried it once in Mac OS X 
and I couldn't get it to work!
