Network Time Protocol... The NTP daemon allows you to sync the time on=20
multiple machines. You probably don't need it.=20

There are several tools that will allow you to edit startup daemons. Don=
't=20
have my laptop running right now, so I don't remember which of these migh=
t=20
come with YD. Perhaps all... they all do the same thing so just go down=
=20
through the list until you find one that works for you.

Command Line Tools:

ntsysv

setup (go to system services)

chkconfig --list | more
=09find the daemon you want to disable & run:
=09chkconfig daemon off
=09(changes will take affect next time you reboot or change runlevels)

GUI Tools:

KDE -> System -> Sys-V-Init Editor

Surely there will be a gui tool for gnome, too. Don't know since I don't=
 use=20
it.

Good luck.
