Formatting linux partition

Well, it worked. I converted the entire Linux partition into HFS (after
reformatting the 10 MB bootstrap partition to a 1.5 GB one in the Finder).

Now the next challenge is to get yaboot back onto this system & working
(even though I can't use YDL at the moment (until I get a ribbon cable for
my 4 GB SCSI) I still like the functionality yaboot offers).

Can yaboot work on a HFS volume that it wasn't installed to by the YDL
installer?
